Product Description

Our Strapped Timothy Hay is suitable for leisure horses and ponies, particularly native types and those in lower levels of work or at rest. Typical analysis shows that our Timothy Hay is low in energy (calories), high in fibre and low in sugar (>10%). This makes our Timothy Hay particularly suitable for good doers, those on box rest or convalescing, fizzy/sharp horses and those that require a low sugar diet due to clinical concerns such as laminitis. For those already using other products within the M&T range, our Timothy Hay represents our lowest calorie (energy) option, a step down from our Meadow Hay and Low Energy Haylage. With our Double Compressed bales being sliced, they also provide an easier way to feed your horses and ponies.

Our Timothy Hay provides the ideal solution for good doers and native types in rest to moderate work, requiring high levels of fibre but low levels of energy (calories) and sugar. With typical sugar levels below 10%, our Timothy Hay is suitable for laminitics or those with clinical conditions that mean a low sugar diet is required. Being low in sugar also makes this product suitable for horses and ponies that can become hot or fizzy on high energy and sugar forage and those on box rest or convalescing. Our Timothy Hay represents the lowest step on our product ladder in terms of energy (calories) which is typical of Timothy grass species, often being more suitable for the better doer and leisure horse type than Ryegrass-based products.
